Alf’s son, Arve Nøsted, took over the leadership of the company in the middle of the 1950’s. During the 50’s and 60’s the company enjoyed a period of substantial growth, not in the least due to the introduction of new and improved technical solutions. 1970 saw the installation of the company’s first, fully automated studding machine for snow chains. This technology gave the company a major advantage over the competition, as well as allowing further expansion within it’s product spectrum. In 1980 the company changed its name to Nøsted Kjetting AS.

Over the years, the export market gradually increased, first to Europe then to North and South America. In 1983, the importance of the North America market lead to the purchase of Chaine Select Inc, situated in the province of Quebec in Canada. Two years later Arve’s son Alf-Arne took over the control of the company. After successfully negotiating the company through the difficult decade of the 1990’s, Alf-Arne lead the company through a long period of growth, with the introduction of new technology, strategic purchasing and the building of a new, modern factory, all implemented whilst maintaining the companies reputation for high quality products. In 2016, after assuming the position of general Manager, Merethe Nøsted v. Zernichow continued the family tradition by being the 4th generation of Nøsted’s to lead the company.
